Los Caballos Riders would like to invite you to our annual horse campout!

Where: Cuyamaca Mountains – Los Vaqueros Group Campground. The group horse camp is located on Los Caballos road, about 2 miles east of Highway 79, inside Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The park offers over 100 miles of hiking trails with pine and oak forests, meadows, streams, ocean and desert views. There are tables, water faucets and a large fire ring. The camp has its own restroom with showers. Pipe corrals are available for horses. Dogs are allowed in the campground, leashed, but are not allowed on trails.

When: June 14th to the 19th, 2017! We reserve the entire group horse camp area for 5 days. You can come any day you wish and leave any day, but the pricing is based on a flat fee, not a nightly fee. Therefore, whether you come for one night or all five, the price stays the same as listed.

Why: The Los Caballos Riders club has been coming to Cuyamaca for over the last 20 years. As a club, we are always looking to share our passion of riding beautiful trails with fun people and potentially gain new members! Which is why this year, we are extending an invitation for others to come join us!

Additional Details:

Deposits – To ensure you reserve your space/corral, we will be taking deposits to reserve your site. Have your $50.00 (per horse) non-refundable deposit as soon as possible. All reservations need to paid in full by May 1st. No refunds/no transfers. You can mail your deposit along with the Campout Form to our address PO Box 1081, Murrieta, CA 92564 or come to our general club meeting (second Wednesday of every month at Coco’s in Sun City).

Campout Form – We must have a completed Campout Form with each deposit/reservation. Please download the PDF to the right. This ensures we get a correct headcount and get a layout for parking all rigs.

Food Groups – As a part of our tradition, we team people into “food groups” for each night. Each food group picks a theme and cooks dinner for everyone!
